Happy National EMS Week

Written by Brent Eames

May 24, 2024

May 19, 2024 through May 25, 2024 is the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS professionals and the important work they do in our nation’s communities. National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s frontline. Our workers’ compensation attorneys for first responders at Eames Law Group thank all EMS workers and first responders for the sacrifices you make in order to keep our communities safe. According to the organization, we celebrate EMS Week by honoring our past—by taking a pause to recognize the contributions of each generation, the people who dreamed that we could save more lives and have less suffering, and then found ways to make it happen. EMS Week is never just about the past, however. It’s also about inspiring the EMS professionals just starting out and the young people who haven’t even discovered EMS yet. It’s about learning from the challenges and building on the successes of the last five decades. It’s about forging our future—a future in which the next generation has the tools they need to deliver compassionate care and alleviate suffering in communities everywhere. Eames Law Group, Ltd. never stops fighting for our clients, and we will aggressively push cases to trial in order to obtain justice when municipalities or their insurance companies attempt to deny and dispute what should be valid and legitimate claims for injuries.  We are experienced attorneys in PEDA cases on behalf of EMS workers all across the state. If an insurance company or claim handler has denied your work comp claim or refused to pay work comp benefits, you owe it to yourself to contact one of the best work comp attorneys in Chicago, to discuss your rights.  Our firm has been elected to state leadership positions in the area of work comp law, and frequently lectures to other attorneys regarding law, and trial strategies in Illinois work comp cases. We are also experienced in claims for benefits pursuant to the Public Employee Disability Act.  If you have been injured, you should immediately contact Brent Eames for a free consultation to discuss your options.
